Algebra 2 is not a distinct mathematical discipline, but a term that refers to the (more advanced) continuation of the themes introduced in early Algebra classes. Not all institutions even use the "Algebra 2" classification.

Topics covered in Algebra 2 courses usually include advanced inequality and equation solving, quadratic functions, polynomials, radical expressions, exponential and logarithmic functions, probability, and occasionally some trigonometry.
