TOPIC DESCRIPTION:
Mathematics is the study of quantity, space, structure and change. It is used to identify patterns, form conjectures and develop rigorous logical proofs for such conjectures. The greater practice of mathematics developed with the studies of counting, calculation, measurement, motion and shapes, and thus forms the backbone of these applied numerical/geometric studies. While mathematics is often considered to be an abstract field, it is essential to the proper understanding and practice of most scientific studies.
