Precalculus consists of the more advanced studies of algebra and trigonometry that immediately precede the study of calculus. It focuses mainly on advanced functions involving exponents, logarithms, polynomials and complex numbers, but also includes topics such as polar coordinates, matrices, limits and vectors.
